CBSEi students witnessed the MOM....(MARS ORBIT MISSION)

CBSE  Made Students Watch Historic Mars Mission

As the country anxiously awaits for the success of Indian Mars Orbiter Mission, DL DAV PP CBSEi  made necessary arrangements for the students to witness the mission live in their class rooms.


"The  students  watched the programme collectively in their classes and cherished this rare scientific event," 
The advice came as ISRO looked confident today of giving one final nudge tomorrow to put it spacecraft in orbit around Mars and making space history in the process.

The live coverage of the 'Mars Orbit Insertion' activities was available on Doordarshan's national channels, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi witnessing the event at the Spacecraft Control Centre at ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Bangalore.

The programme provided important scientific knowledge to the students and "whet their curiosity."

FUN WITH LANGUAGE......CLASS 3 (ENGLISH)


TAGGING AND CATEGORIZING THE PARTS OF SPEECH

Learning the eight parts of speech is a good foundation for the ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS  to grasp the rules of grammar. Parts of speech define how you use a word. 
The students of class 3 had an amazing colouring activity through which they learnt to identfy and categorize the various parts of speech using different colours.

MY GREEN GARDEN

The importance of encouraging our children in outdoor work with living plants is now recognized. It benefits the health, broadens the education. The great garden movement is sweeping over all the world, and our present problem is to direct it and make it most profitable to the children in our schools and homes.

  • students learn focus and patience, cooperation, teamwork and social skills.
  • they gain self-confidence and a sense of "capableness" along with new skills and knowledge in food growing.

AN APPLE A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY 

The nutritional value of food defines what a food is made of and its' impact on the body. Because of disease and weight control, it's particularly important to understand the nutritional value of food due to its impact on the body as it relates to overall well being of a person. 

The NUTRITIONAL TALK was an activity through which the students  understood the nutritional values in order to make right decisions about consumption.

Despite all differences, the world has come closer.Where ever we live ,we appreciate each other's food habits. The students of class 3 CBSEi, made colourful and attractive MENU CARDS and learnt the cultural diversity in food across the world.They learnt about the different cuisines available in INDIA and the origin of these CUISINES..




6 SEPTEMBER 2014, G.K. QUIZ

In its quest to enhance the knowledge of the students, a quiz ‘QuizZICAL 2014’ was organised at DL DAV PP CBSE i. The Quiz emancipated the level of GENERAL AWARENESS amongst the students. The Quiz consisted of many rounds - MCQ, RAPID FIRE, Tag lines, VOCABULARY, IDENTIFICATION OF FAMOUS LEADERS and ENTERTAINMENT been the most enjoyable.. Both the participants as well as the audience enjoyed the Quiz as they gained an insight to the world around them.
The TEACHERS AS WELL AS THE AUDIENCE
 appreciated the talent and zeal of the students.






























TEACHER'S DAY CELEBRATIONS


A special day in a year dedicated to teachers! In India it is the 5th of September that is celebrated as Teachers’ Day to honor the contributions made by teachers to the society. September 5 is the birthday of a great teacher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education, besides being a well-known diplomat, scholar and the President of India. 
The students of class 3 CBSEi made beautiful cards to show their love for their teachers.
